With his support and guidance, she competed as a teen contestant at the local, state, and national level. During her junior year of college, Katie decided to start writing blog posts about her experiences as a Korean-American adoptee. The responses she received from people across the country prompted her to compete in the Miss America Organization with the platform ‘Building Families Through Adoption’. Katie became Miss Pennsylvania 2017 and competed in the top ten at the Miss America Competition. She then spent the remainder of her year of service advocating for understanding and acceptance of international and domestic adoptees and played her alto saxophone for audiences across the country. During her time at the Pennsylvania State University, she discovered her passion for social media marketing as the Public Relations Officer for the Penn State Marching Blue Band. She went on to work as a corporate marketing professional and is currently the Social Media Manager at Merakey. Kaitlynne joined The Elder Law Office of Olimpi & Kramer, LLC., in May of 2017 and continues to work at the firm. She enjoys providing Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Guardianship Legal Services to adults throughout all of Western Pennsylvania. Kaitlynne is no stranger to pageants, competing and volunteering for ten years. During her time in pageantry Kaitlynne held several local titles as well as Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen. After competing, Kaitlyn volunteered at the state and national level for 8 years, as well as being a state co-producer and choreographer. Kaitlyn is a dance-educator and performer, recently graduating with a Master of Fine Arts in Dance degree from Temple University. She has 15 years of teaching experience within local dance studios and has been an adjunct professor at King’s College, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, teaching Tap and Jazz. Kaitlyn also is an Enrolled Agent and has been the office manager of Friendly Tax Advisors.
